Meet the editor

Although Lori writes mostly Japanese short forms, she has also written other forms of poetry and a few short horror stories. She has been fascinated by existentialism and horror for as long as she can remember. Her grandmother read her Edgar Allan Poe when she was a child and in elementary school her favorite book was Horror Hour: Time for Terror by R.L. Stine. Along the way she discovered Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and Stephen King. Her current favorite horror novel is Carrie because grade-school bullies, among other real life nightmares, contributed to the monster under her bed known as depression.

Lori A Minor is a feminist, mental health advocate, and body positive activist currently living in Norfolk, Virginia.
